TSN Premieres All-New Slate of Exclusive Sports Documentaries Including ESPN 30 FOR 30: LANCE and E60 IMPERFECT – THE ROY HALLADAY STORY, Starting Today

Showcasing some of the most compelling stories in sports history, TSN is the exclusive Canadian home to five all-new documentaries, beginning Tuesday, May 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET with the first in a two-part premiere of the rise and fall of Lance Armstrong in ESPN 30 FOR 30: LANCE. Part Two debuts Sunday, May 31 at 9 p.m. ET before the film encores as part of TSN’s new Tuesday Night Docs series on Tuesday, June 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

TSN premieres a slate of additional compelling sports documentaries over the coming weeks, including a look back at the glory and tragedy of Toronto Blue Jays legend Roy Halladay, a look at martial arts icon Bruce Lee, the incredible life story of NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman, and the season-long chase for baseball’s most-hallowed record.

The highly-anticipated new sports documentaries debuting on TSN will then headline the network’s Tuesday Night Docs series. The slate of documentaries includes:

  • ESPN 30 FOR 30: LANCE (Part One: Tuesday, May 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Part Two premiering Sunday, May 31 at 9 p.m. ET, encore Tuesday, June 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET)
    • Based around extensive interviews and conversations with Lance Armstrong, the two-part, four-hour documentary tells the story of the cyclist’s rise out of Texas as a young superstar cyclist; his harrowing battle with testicular cancer; his recovery and emergence as a global icon with his seven consecutive Tour de France titles; and his massive fall after he was exposed in one of the largest doping scandals in history.
  • E60: IMPERFECT – THE ROY HALLADAY STORY, premiering Friday, May 29 at 7 p.m. ET (encore Tuesday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. ET)
    • Two and a half years ago, Major League Baseball lost one of its most revered figures when Roy Halladay died doing the thing he loved most – not pitching, flying. While most baseball fans know about Roy Halladay’s on the field accomplishments – a postseason no-hitter, the perfect game, and two Cy Young awards, they don’t know much about the man – someone who struggled with mental health issues and an addiction to prescription painkillers. In exclusive E60 interviews with Halladay’s wife, family, close friends, and teammates, correspondent John Barr tells the story of one man’s obsessive pursuit of perfection and how that led to a complicated life.
  • ESPN 30 FOR 30: BE WATER, premiering Sunday, June 7 at 9 p.m. ET (encore Tuesday, June 9 at 10 p.m. ET)
    • BE WATER is a gripping, fascinating, intimate look at not just the final, defining years of martial arts icon Bruce Lee’s life, but also the complex, often difficult, and seismic journey that led to Lee’s ultimate emergence as a singular icon in the histories of film, martial arts, and the connection between the eastern and western worlds.
  • ESPN 30 FOR 30: LONG GONE SUMMER, premiering Sunday, June 14 at 9 p.m. ET (encore Tuesday, June 16 at 7p.m. ET)
    • It was one of the most memorable and significant seasons in the history of baseball. In the summer of 1998, the St. Louis Cardinals’ Mark McGwire and the Chicago Cubs’ Sammy Sosa embarked on a chase of one of the game’s most hallowed records, igniting the passion and imagination of fans and non-fans everywhere. The drama, excitement, and results would be remembered for generations, but the feelings surrounding it all would eventually become very complex.
  • ESPN 30 FOR 30: RODMAN: FOR BETTER OR WORSE, premiering Tuesday, June 23 at 8 p.m. ET
    • The story of NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman begins in Dallas, where Rodman and his family members recall a difficult and often uncomfortable childhood. The film traces his improbable rise from being an at times homeless, teenaged, airport janitor to becoming a second-round NBA draft selection for the Detroit Pistons. In the pros, Rodman first becomes a role player for the future back-to-back champions before emerging as the league’s best rebounder – and perhaps the most iconoclastic figure in basketball history.
