TSN’s Comprehensive Multi-Platform Coverage of the 113th U.S. OPEN Begins Tomorrow

World No. 1-ranked golfer and three-time U.S. OPEN champion Tiger Woods takes on “Golf’s Toughest Test” live on TSN, as the 113th U.S. OPEN gets underway at the storied Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, PA. TSN’s live coverage of all four rounds begins Thursday, June 13 at 9 a.m. ET and concludes with the Final on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16 at 12 noon ET (see broadcast schedule below).

The U.S. OPEN is also available on TSN Mobile TV and in French on RDS. Bell Media sports radio stations also deliver live coverage, with all four rounds on TSN Radio 1050 in Toronto and TEAM 1410 in Vancouver, and the third and final rounds onTSN Radio 690 in Montreal and TEAM 1200 in Ottawa.

Preview and Highlight Shows

TSN tees up golf’s second major event with 60-minute preview shows airing tomorrow (June 11) and Wednesday (June 12) at 2 p.m. ET. The network also primes fans for the third and final rounds with 60-minute preview shows on Saturday (June 15) and Sunday (June 16) at 11 a.m. ET.  Wrapping up each round are 60-minute highlight shows airing Thursday and Friday at 12 midnight ET on TSN2 and Saturday and Sunday at 12 midnight ET on TSN.

TSN Digital

TSN.ca will deliver bonus online coverage that goes beyond the television broadcast, with live streaming of the 11th and 18thholes, along with a daily marquee group for all four rounds. TSN Digital platforms also feature up-to-the-minute news, daily highlights, as well as Weeks’ popular golf blog. Throughout the tournament, Weeks will answer fan questions on Twitter through @bobatscoregolf, while TSN.ca will feature tweets from Weeks, Jim Nelford, the USGA, and the official Twitter feed of the U.S. OPEN.

The 113th U.S. OPEN

Five Canadians will compete at this year’s U.S. OPEN, including Mike Weir (Brights Grove, Ontario), Ryan Yip (Calgary), David Hearn (Brampton, Ontario), Adam Hadwin (Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan), and Mackenzie Hughes (Dundas, Ontario). Along with Woods, the star-studded field also boasts Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott, and defending U.S. OPEN champion Webb Simpson. Woods tees off with McIlroy and Scott during the first two rounds – grouping together the top three golfers in the world.

Established in 1896, the Merion Golf Club is hosting the U.S. OPEN for the fifth time in club history.

Father’s Day Weekend on TSN

The 113th U.S. OPEN is part of a jam-packed Father’s Day Weekend of sports on TSN and TSN2, which also features live action from the NBA FINALS2013 UEFA EURO UNDER-21 CHAMPIONSHIPMLS, and NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES, as well as Canada’s men’s rugby team. CTV Two also airs NASCAR Nationwide Series: Alliance Truck Parts 250 this Saturday at 2 p.m. ET.
