Get ready to rock, Canada! TSN’s 2010-11 curling broadcast season kicks off this weekend with the 2010 CANADA CUP OF CURLING live from Medicine Hat, AB, beginning Saturday, Dec. 4 at 3:30 p.m. ET. TSN once again has exclusive Canadian coverage of every Season of Champions event on the calendar, including the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Tim Hortons Brier and ford world men’s curling championship, along with the tsn skins game and CAPITAL ONE World WOMEN’S CURLING Championship.
CANADA CUP Coverage
The CANADA CUP features a 10-team men’s side and a 10-team women’s side, each split into two five-team pools playing in respective round robin tournaments. The men’s side of this year’s CANADA CUP features a star-studded lineup including 2010 Olympic gold medallist and defending CANADA CUP champion Kevin Martin, 2010 BRIER and World champion Kevin Koe and perennial favourites Glenn Howard and Randy Ferbey. Highlighting the teams on the women’s side are 2010 Olympic silver medallist Cheryl Bernard, 2010 TOURNAMENT OF HEARTS champion Jennifer Jones, defending CANADA CUP champion Shannon Kleibrink and Kelly Scott.

Curling on TSN experienced an impressive season in 2009-10 with record-setting audience numbers for several marquee events:
• 2010 TIM HORTONS BRIER – Set an audience record with an amazing 1.56 million viewers for final, making it the most-watched non-Olympic Games curling broadcast ever on Canadian television. Average audience for the entire tournament was 606,000 viewers
• 2010 SCOTTIES TOURNAMENT OF HEARTS – Final delivered an average audience or 1.2 million viewers and a tournament average audience of nearly 500,000 viewers
• TIM HORTONS ROAR OF THE RINGS – Attracted 1.1 million viewers for the men’s final and 818,000 viewers for the women’s final
TSN’s Vic Rauter returns to call the action alongside analysts Linda Moore and Russ Howard. Moore is an Olympic gold medallist and Howard has also won Olympic gold and is a two-time Brier and World Champion.
