TSN’s Expansive Season of Live Tennis Coverage Begins Down Under with the AUSTRALIAN OPEN, February 7-21

As Canada’s home of premier tennis events throughout the season, TSN kicks off its exclusive coverage of Grand Slam tennis with the 2021 AUSTRALIAN OPEN, beginning with the First Round on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. ET on TSN (complete broadcast schedule available here).

TSN has the court covered throughout the entire 2021 season, delivering all four Grand Slams – the AUSTRALIAN OPEN, FRENCH OPEN, WIMBLEDON, and U.S. OPEN – as well as comprehensive live coverage of ATP Tour and WTA Tour events.

TSN and TSN Direct subscribers can access live streaming and on-demand viewing of the AUSTRALIAN OPEN through TSN.ca and the TSN app, which also feature breaking news, highlights, scores, and video analysis. TSN.ca’s Multiplex also provides access for subscribers to watch multiple matches airing at once across TSN’s five feeds, as well as unique bonus streams. French-language coverage of the tournament is available on RDS.

Hosted by Mark Roe, TSN’s live, multi-court coverage of the AUSTRALIAN OPEN features multiple matches airing simultaneously, as well as post-match reports, analysis, news conferences, and highlights. Fans can visit TSN.ca/AO for a daily lineup of matches and follow @TSNTennis for daily schedule updates and breaking news.

The AUSTRALIAN OPEN women’s field is headlined by Canada’s own Bianca Andreescu. The 2019 US OPEN winner hasn’t played a competitive match since suffering a left knee injury in October 2019. Andreescu’s competition includes WTA World #1 player Ashleigh Barty, seven-time AUSTRALIAN OPEN champion Serena Williams, 2020 US OPEN winner Naomi Osaka, and Canada’s Leylah Annie Fernandez.

Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, who have combined to win nine of the past 13 AUSTRALIAN OPEN titles, lead the men’s field at the first Grand Slam championship of the year. The star-studded men’s field also includes ATP World #3 player Dominic Thiem, #4 Daniil Medvedev, and Canadians Denis Shapovalov, Félix Auger-Aliassime, Milos Raonic, and Vasek Pospisil.

In addition to extensive Grand Slam coverage airing exclusively on TSN, Canada’s Sports Leader also delivers ATP 250, 500, and 1000 events as well as a slate of WTA 1000 tournaments throughout the tennis season.
