VisionTV’s UNSCRIPTED welcomes Canada’s favourite TV dad: Alan Thicke

Unscripted, an unconventional talk series from Canada’s VisionTV, gives viewers a privileged glimpse into the personal and spiritual lives of the entertainment world’s most iconic figures. The series airs across Canada on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT. Daytime repeats air Monday to Friday at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT.

Monday, March 15: Harold Perrineau
Brooklyn-born actor Harold Perrineau has played a key role in the success of two great sci-fi franchises. He co-starred as Link in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, and played troubled single father Michael Dawson in the hit series Lost, along with his former Oz castmate Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Next up: a major role in the thriller The Hungry Rabbit Jumps opposite Nicolas Cage and Mad Men’s January Jones.

Tuesday, March 16: Alan Thicke
Alan Thicke is one of Canadian entertainment’s greatest success stories. A proud son of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, he began his career as a writer at the CBC, and went on write and produce TV shows for the likes of Bill Cosby, Kenny Rogers and Barry Manilow. Moving in front of the camera, he hosted a popular daytime talk series in Canada in the early 1980s, and soon after became a familiar face on U.S. network television. Best known as the dad on Growing Pains (and as the real-life father of singer Robin Thicke), he is also the author of two best-selling humour books, How to Raise Kids Who Won’t Hate You and How Men Have Babies.

Ann Archer earned an Oscar nomination for her supporting performance in the provocative 1987 thriller Fatal Attraction. A Los Angeles native, Archer grew up in a showbiz family and has starred on the big screen opposite the likes of Harrison Ford (Patriot Games), Tommy Lee Jones (Rules of Engagement), Gene Hackman (Narrow Margin) and Matthew McConaughey (Ghosts of Girlfriends Past). She’s also a familiar presence in prime time television, turning in stalwart performances in such hit series as The L Word, Ghost Whisperer and Privileged.
