Sunday

Game of Thrones – 9pm on HBO Canada

Season five begins with Cersei and Jaime adjusting to a world without Tywin, while Dany faces a new threat and Jon is caught between two kings.

MTV Movie Awards – 9pm on Much, MTV Canada and M3

Amy Schumer hosting this year’s festivities should bring some edginess to the awards that has been missing in recent years. An awards show so big, it has to be on three cable channels.

Nurse Jackie – 9pm on TMN

The seventh and final season begins after Jackie’s arrest and heading into her detox.

Seeds of Yesterday – 8pm on Lifetime

The fourth movie based on V.C. Andrews’ Flowers in The Attic series.

Silicon Valley – 10pm on HBO Canada

The Pied Piper team kicks off season two following the success of the TechCrunch Disrupt being aggressively courted by Silicon Valley, while Richard makes a decision about the company’s future.

Veep – 10:30 on HBO Canada

While Selina settles into her new role as President, her staff works frantically to hammer out her first major speech in the top job. Meanwhile, Jonah has his hands full with the new Veep’s staff.

Monday

TURN: Washington’s Spies – 9pm to 11pm on AMC

Season two begins with two episodes. A season one marathon precedes the new season, starting at 10:30am.

Jimmy Kimmel Live – 11:35 on ABC, midnight on Comedy

Jimmy celebrates The Avengers Age of Ultron in this special show with guests Robert Downey Jr.. Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner. For those who can’t stay up late, it will also be on ABC on Tuesday at 10pm (not so coincidentally following Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Friday

Cedric’s Barber Battle – 8pm on The CW

Cedric The Entertainer hosts this reality show that pits hair stylists against one another to come up with the most elaborate hair designs

Whose Line Is It Anyway – 8:30 on The CW

Cedric shows up here, too, as the new incarnation of the improve series kicks off its fourth season.

The Messengers – 9pm on The CW

This new sci-fi series involve five people who are killed by a mysterious falling object from space, and then resurrected with supernatural powers which bring the strangers together to save humanity.

Saturday

Orphan Black – 9pm on Space

Season three of this stellar series starring Tatiana Maslany as Sarah Manning and several other characters, all of whom are clones. Bell Media wants to recruit as many new viewers as possible, so the season premiere also airs simultaneously on CTV, Bravo Canada and MTV Canada. On Space, a post-talk-show, Inner Space: After The Black, follows at 10pm. (The video above features Tatiana times four in the season two finale dance party.
