TV Gord’s WHAT’S ON for the week of April 7th to 13th, 2019

Henry Louis Gates Jr. (Finding Your Roots) presents this four-hour documentary that examines the aftermath of the Civil War, when America struggled to rebuild itself in the face of profound loss and revolutionary change. The series will focus on the 12 years following the Civil War, when millions of former slaves sought their place as equal citizens under the law.

Big Rig Warriors – 9 to 10pm (two episodes) on History – Series Premiere

This reality series follows a crew of big rig drivers and their exploits across North America.

Salvage Dogs – 9 to 9:30pm on DIY – 10th Season Premiere

Fosse/Verdon – 10 to 11:10pm on FX – Miniseries Premiere

Michelle Williams and Sam Rockwell star as actress and dancer Gwen Verdon and the celebrated choreographer and director, Bob Fosse (All The Jazz), who had a passionate and volatile personal and professional relationship. Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda is one of the executive producers on this eight-part drama.
