The TV highlights have been few and far between in recent weeks, but we’re already starting to see promos for new shows premiering early in September, so keep checking back! I’ll keep you in the loop on all of the new and returning shows on all of the channels and networks–and streaming services–from which we now have to choose! Vicious – Check your local listings on PBS (Sunday on most stations) – Second Season Premiere
Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi return for a second season as Freddie and Stuart, who have lived together in a London flat for close to 50 years. Having survived a time when being a gay couple was far from fashionable, they have learned to keep the outside world at a distance, but that just gives them more time to bicker with each other.

Fear The Walking Dead – 9pm to 10:29 on AMC – Series Premiere
This spinoff of The Walking Dead follows a dysfunctional blended family that is forced together when they realize the onset of the undead apocalypse is upon them.
Wednesday
The Carmichael Show – 9pm on NBC (two episodes) – Series premiere
Actor, writer and comedian Jerrod Carmichael stars in this sitcom about trying to deal with his family while making a life for himself with his therapist-in-training girlfriend. David Allan Grier and Loretta Devine also star.
