Eric Dane (McSteamy from Grey’s Anatomy) is back for a 13-episode second season as the commander of a naval ship that was at sea when a viral pandemic wiped out 80% of the world’s population. (I recommend this series!)

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnston stars as retired athlete Spencer Strasmore in this comedy-drama about a group of football players and the people in their orbit.

The Brink – 10:30 to 11:05pm on HBO – Series Premiere

Tim Robbins, Jack Black and Aasif Mandvi are among the stars of this comedy that focus on a geopolitical crisis in Pakistan. Creators (and brothers) Roberto and Kim Benabib hope future seasons will explore a different crisis in a different locale each season (presuming it runs more than one).

Thursday

Under The Dome – 9-11pm – 3rd Season Premiere

This series, which is based on a Stephen King novel, continues the story of a town trapped (you guessed it!) under a dome. Look for Marg Helgenberger (CSI) and Eric LaSalle (e.r.) to join the cast this season.
