Known for her humour almost as much for her music, Jann Arden is bringing her comedic style to the world of TV sitcoms, where she plays a heightened, fictionalized version of herself. In the opener, Jann deals with a manager who screws up a gig, an ex who has decided it’s time to move on, and a mother who is battling the onset of dementia. If anyone can pull this off, Jann can.
Restoration Garage – 9 to 10pm (two episodes) on Discovery Velocity – 5th Season Premiere
bublé! – 10 to 11pm on NBC/City/CTV Two
The Grammy-winning musician performs songs from his album, “love”, as well as his classic hits, backed by a 36-piece orchestra. He also talks about his rise to fame and the artists who inspired him along the way.

Do you remember this CBC (and Superchannel) series from a couple of years ago about Ryan Robbins as a Mennonite pastor who works undercover in an organized crime network to clean up the drug trafficking problem in his community? (It was also picked up in the U.S. on Hulu and WGN America.) You’re forgiven, if you don’t. It only had this six-episode first season. Since then, though, it has been renewed for a second season, which premieres later this year. In the meantime, though, here’s the original first season.
