Wayne Brady and Rob Marciano to host Gala Award Ceremonies at the 2013 Banff World Media Festival

The Banff World Media Festival (BANFF) proudly announced today that Emmy Award-winning actor and comedian, Wayne Brady, will host the Banff World Media Festival’s evening Rockie Awards Gala, taking place on June 11th at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Canada. Mr. Brady will also take part in a special one-on-one featured session, open to all BANFF delegates.

Currently the host of CBS’ hit game show Let’s Make a Deal, Wayne Brady is one of the most versatile performers in show business today, entertaining audiences with his acting, improv, singing and dancing on television, film and the stage. His great body of work also includes his beloved improvisational skills shown on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, for which he won an Emmy Award and earned two Emmy Award nominations. Brady went on to host his own syndicated talk and variety show, The Wayne Brady Show. Brady picked up two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Talk Show Host, and the show won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show.

Rob Marciano, co-anchor of leading entertainment news program Entertainment Tonight, is announced as the host of the Rockies Industry Awards Lunch this year at BANFF, taking place on June 10, 2013.

Before beginning his career at CBS Television Distribution’s Entertainment Tonight, Rob Marciano was a news and weather anchor at CNN News Group. Marciano’s reports for CNN from the field during Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico earned a Peabody Award.

“Wayne Brady and Rob Marciano will bring an exciting edge to the already great line-up we have in store for BANFF this year,” said Ferne Cohen, Executive Director of the Banff World Media Festival. “We are thrilled to have them both as our Award Hosts, and look forward seeing what they have planned for us.”
