COSMOPOLITAN TV PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS:

COMEDY AND DRAMA SERIES:

(SEASONS 1-3) – NETWORK PREMIERE

Airs: Monday to Thursday at 7 p.m. (r) 11 p.m. beginning Tuesday, September 4

The Vampire Diaries is the story of two vampire brothers who are obsessed with the same girl. In season one, Stefan (Paul Wesley, Fallen) and Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder, Lost) returned to their hometown of Mystic Falls, Virginia, for very different reasons. Stefan was determined to get to know Elena Gilbert (Canadian Nina Dobrev, DeGrassi: The Next Generation), who bears a striking resemblance to Katherine Pierce (also played by Dobrev), the beautiful but ruthless vampire the brothers knew and loved – in 1864. Damon, on the other hand, was intent on releasing Katherine from the tomb where he believed she was trapped by a witch’s spell all those years ago. Now these two vampire brothers – one good, one evil – are at war for Elena’s soul and for the souls of her friends, family and all the residents of the small town of Mystic Falls, Virginia. Based on the series of books by L. J. Smith. For more information about the series, please click here.

UGLY BETTY (SEASONS 1-4)  – NETWORK PREMIERE

Airs: Monday to Friday at Noon (r) 4 p.m. beginning Tuesday, September 4

The hit U.S. series, Ugly Betty, is coming to CosmoTV this fall. In the superficial world of high fashion, image is everything. How can an ordinary girl – a slightly plump plain Jane from Queens – possibly fit in? Betty Suarez (America Ferrera) is smart, sweet and hard working. The only problem is that she’s not thin and beautiful like all her coworkers at Mode, the high-fashion magazine where she works. The only reason the publisher hired her to be his son’s secretary, is that he thought Betty was someone who Daniel would never sleep with. Betty’s hard work and determination earns Daniel’s respect, as she helps him find his way through the shark infested waters of the fashion industry. Ugly Betty is based on a Colombian telenovela Yo Soy Betty La Fea. This docu-series is an all-access pass into the life of the small-town kid who loved theatre and fashion, and who followed his dreams. While Brad obsesses about getting his clients red-carpet ready, he struggles to balance work and his home life with long-term boyfriend, Gary. LOVE TRAP (SEASON 2) – WORLD PREMIERE

Whether it be trapped together for a tai chi lesson, partnered up in a sushi-making class, or participating in a fake marketing survey, this planned opportunity won’t last forever, and there’s just enough time to make a connection and maybe even go in for a kiss. Relationship experts Nicole McCance and Jen Kirsch join Evan for Season 2, offering tips and tricks on how to turn a crush into something more.
