CosmoTV’s July Programming Highlights

This July, Cosmopolitan TV premieres the reality series Rags to Red Carpet, where women in need of a confidence boost are given Hollywood-style makeovers and the chance to shine in the spotlight. Also this July, CosmoTV features premiere movies including High Fidelity, Coyote Ugly and the period-piece A Good Woman, starring Helen Hunt and Scarlett Johansson.

RAGS TO RED CARPET – SERIES PREMIERE

Rags to Red Carpet is a brand new original series that brings the glitz and glam of Hollywood into the lives of everyday women who are desperately in need of a makeover. In each half hour episode, host Liz West shines the spotlight on an unsuspecting woman in need of a makeover by showing a movie trailer of the style victim’s everyday worst. When the lights come up to expose the participants’ family and friends in the audience, Liz offers the shocked woman a fabulous head-to-toe makeover with a team of top beauty experts. Armed with the latest fashion, makeup and beauty aids, these experts transform the woman into a dazzling star ready for a marvelous red carpet reveal to friends and family. Viewers can tune in as women get the chance to capture a glamorous starring role in their own life. Produced by Frantic Films in association with CosmoTV, Rags to Red Carpet airs Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 8 p.m. starting on Wednesday, July 7 at 9:30 p.m.

CANADA DAY MARATHONS

Cosmo celebrates Canada Day with marathons of Supersize vs. Superskinny and Ashley Paige: Bikini or Bust. On July 1, viewers can catch back-to-back episodes of Supersize vs. Superskinny from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by back-to-back episodes of Ashley Paige: Bikini or Bust from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Supersize vs. Superskinny is the UK reality series that helps those whose extreme approaches to eating are leading to health problems. In each episode, two people with wildly different diets swap their daily meals for five days in a medically supervised environment: the super skinny participants are challenged to eat the fuller meals of their heavier counterparts while the supersized participants subsist on the minuscule portions prepared for them. Both try a three-month healthy food plan before returning for a final weigh-in and health assessment with Dr. Christian Jessen.

Ashley Paige: Bikini or Bust goes inside the life of California bikini designer Ashley Paige as she struggles to salvage her new store in Los Angeles and pay her rent – despite her A-list clientele. Viewers will witness the ups and downs as the once renowned designer attempts to get her career back on track.

THE RACHEL ZOE PROJECT – SEASON 1

Viewers can catch the complete first season of The Rachel Zoe Project, with episodes every Monday at 8 p.m. throughout July. Fans can follow celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe as she works around the clock to take her business to the next level. With help from her team – husband Rodger Berman, styling associate Taylor Jacobson and her small-town Ontario assistant, Brad Goreski – Zoe manages to dress A-list stars in the perfect gowns for their walks down the red carpet.
