Canadian boogie-rock revivalists The Sheepdogs made headlines around the world by becoming the first independent band ever to land the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. MuchMore went behind the scenes to bring viewers inside the band’s journey in UNDER THE COVER WITH THE SHEEPDOGS, airing Thursday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. ET. In this exclusive, half-hour special, MuchMore host Matt Wells shares every exhilarating moment of this great Canadian success story including the Rolling Stone cover reveal in New York City’s Times Square; the late-night hang with the Sheepdogs, ICE-T and Larry David at Rolling Stone’s private rooftop party; and The Sheepdogs performance on LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON.

After months of competition and over 1.5 million online votes, The Sheepdogs beat out 15 other unsigned acts from across the globe for the grand prize; gracing the cover of Rolling Stone’s August 18, 2011 edition. The prize also includes a recording contract with Atlantic Records. MuchMore’s Matt Wells not only got to be a fly on the wall throughout The Sheepdogs’ catapult to fame, but also got a rare opportunity to chat with the band about being on the brink of stardom, while still driving a run-down van.
MUCHMORE: UNDER THE COVERS WITH THE SHEEPDOGS is also available on MuchMore.ca immediately following the broadcast.
