MTV beats the winter blues with red hot programming all month long. Canada’s national snowboarding team continues to go for gold on the world stage with the return of OVER THE BOLTS. Then it’s over to a different kind of stage, as students at a performing arts school struggle to realize their dreams on TAKING THE STAGE. Another group of students deal with a different set of struggles as they prepare for parenthood on the second season of the hit series 16 AND PREGNANT. TAKING THE STAGE

Get ready for some fresh faces mixed with some familiar ones as TAKING THE STAGE returns for Season 2. This year the talented students at Cincinnati’s famed School for the Creative and Performing Arts prepare for new relationships, drama, music and performances as they deal with harsh realities while chasing their dreams. TAKING THE STAGE premieres with back-to-back episodes for the first week only at 10 p.m. ET and 10:30 p.m. ET.

OVER THE BOLTS
MTV Series Finale – Friday, Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. ET/PT (30 min.)
Members of Canada’s national snowboard team continue to compete for the opportunity to represent Canada, on their home turf, at Vancouver 2010. The finale features break out athlete Michael Lambert, who just won gold for parallel giant slalom snowboard at the World Cup this past weekend. After watching them train and compete against the world in hopes of capturing gold, Michael and his fellow Olympic hopefuls find out who makes the team. MTV CRIBS is back for yet another all access pass season with some of your favourite celebrities. No one will be able to hide from MTV’s cameras as we get a personalized tour into celebrities’ tricked out digs.

Season 2 of this touching series follows these teenagers as they prepare for parenthood, all while struggling with parents, homework, and relationships. LIFE OF RYAN

Ryan faces one of the biggest challenges in his life when he finds out that his best friends Casey and Mitch may be going away to college in Colorado. At the same time he’s presented with a huge opportunity, a major role in a big Hollywood movie. This could expand Ryan’s audience beyond anything he has ever known before, but Ryan worries how his haters will respond if he becomes a movie star.
