Explore high school life through the eyes of Liz Lee, a precocious, often sarcastic, always witty teenage girl trapped in a conservative Texas town. Offering up a hilarious take on teenage life and self-discovery, the new series MY LIFE AS LIZ premieres with back-to-back episodes on Monday, March 15 beginning at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Ever the outsider, Liz takes viewers on her wonderfully awkward journey as a Texas high school senior carving out her place amidst her ‘normal’ peers. MTV viewers can catch a special sneak peek of the new series tomorrow night at 11 p.m. ET/PT. Full episodes are also available on demand at mtv.ca.
In the first episode, aptly titled “The Summer Of Suck”, Liz’s dream of taking her senior year by the horns is sabotaged. She’s forced to spend the last days of summer with Taylor Terry – Burleson High’s perfect blond specimen of popularity. But the experience may end up changing both girls in ways they could never imagine.
At Burleson High, Liz Lee’s quirky, alternative, outsider style makes her the furthest thing from Little Miss Texas. Her off-kilter outlook and impeccable comedic timing make her both likeable and engaging. But it’s her openness and honesty that allows viewers to connect with what being a teenaged girl is all about. Week by week, Liz deals with fending off mean girls, crushing on a classmate, being a proud member of the ‘nerd herd’, and just generally trying to make it through the final year in high school.
