VICE Series THE HUNT FOR THE TRUMP TAPES WITH TOM ARNOLD Lands in Canada October 20, on MTV and CraveTV

MTV and CraveTV announced today the exclusive Canadian premiere of the headline-making docu-series THE HUNT FOR THE TRUMP TAPES WITH TOM ARNOLD. On Saturday, Oct. 20 at 10 p.m. ET, both services are pumping out four, back-to-back episodes of the half-hour series, followed by two episodes on October 27, and wrapping November 3, with the final two episodes. The eight-episode series follows comedian/actor Tom Arnold as he searches for the truth behind the many rumoured, potentially damaging recordings of the current President of The United States, Donald Trump. Stemming from the recently announced partnership between VICE and Bell Media, THE HUNT FOR THE TRUMP TAPES WITH TOM ARNOLD is among the first group of series debuting in the new VICE programming block.

THE HUNT FOR THE TRUMP TAPES WITH TOM ARNOLD follows Arnold as he taps into his deep network of connections, including Arnold Schwarzenegger and magician Penn Jillette (THE CELEBRITY APPRENTICE), writer, director, producer, and comedian Judd Apatow, Rosie O’Donnell, Trump’s former business associate Felix Sater, and former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci. The series also documents the frenzy of attention around Arnold’s surprise meeting with former Trump lawyer, Michael Cohen.

As Arnold’s potentially quixotic search among powerful people who may have or know of potentially damaging recordings of The President unfolds, the series becomes a funhouse mirror snapshot of our current media and political landscape. Although comedic in tone, Arnold remains steadfast in his belief that not only do some of these tapes exist, but they matter and need to be seen and heard.

Also beginning on October 20 as part of the VICE programming block on MTV are series MOST EXPENSIVEST (Saturday, Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. ET), starring Grammy® Award-winner 2 Chainz, BONG APPETIT (Saturday, Oct. 20 at 9 p.m. ET) a cannabis cooking series, and F*CK, THAT’S DELICIOUS (Saturday, Oct. 20 at 9:30 p.m. ET) with rapper Action Bronson. The following week, sex writer Karley Sciortino explores female sexuality, gender, and love in the premiere of half-hour series SLUTEVER (Saturday, Oct. 27 at 11 p.m. ET), immediately followed by the premiere of THE TRIXIE & KATYA SHOW (Saturday, Oct. 27 at 11:30 p.m. ET), featuring RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE breakout stars Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova.

In addition to the MTV lineup, VICE content also streams as part of CraveTV’s new VICE Collection, which launches this Friday. The collection includes: Emmy®-nominated GAYCATION with Ellen Page; F*CK, THAT’S DELICIOUS; HUANG’S WORLD; KING OF THE ROAD; MOST EXPENSIVEST; SLUTEVER; THE TRIXIE & KATYA SHOW; WEEDITQUETTE, and more.

As well, short-form content from VICE begins rolling out on SnackableTV this Friday. Shorts include music-focused series NOISEY SELF PORTRAITS and NOISEY RAPS, followed by CANADIAN CANNABIS and SMOKEABLES on October 17, the day marijuana becomes legal in Canada. Additional short-form VICE content, including digital extras and culture-focused content from VICE’s Broadly profile, also begin rolling out October 15 on MTV.ca.
