Sun News To Launch Next Month

Sun News, a partnership between TVA Group Inc. and Sun Media Corporation, two subsidiaries of Quebecor Media Inc., is pleased to announce that trusted national reporter and columnist Brian Lilley will host a prime time TV show called “Byline with Brian Lilley” when the station launches next month.

And here’s Brian in his new (under construction) studio in Ottawa.

“Brian has built a following from coast to coast as a columnist who offers average Canadians a voice in the news media,” said Luc Lavoie, Head of development for Sun News. “His show will cut to the heart of the issues that impact everyday working people and their families. He is a perfect fit in our growing prime time line-up.”

Brian Lilley has covered it all. From local city councilors to premiers, prime ministers, presidents and even the Queen. Through it all Brian Lilley’s goal has been to deliver the bigger story while looking out for the little guy. After more than ten years working for Canada’s biggest talk radio stations in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa, Brian joined the Sun team covering news that matters and bringing his unique style to a weekly column.

“The self-appointed experts don’t know it all and neither do they speak for all of us. On Byline, we’ll bring you the stories you won’t hear anywhere else while exploring points of view that are all too often ignored,” said Brian Lilley.

Lilley will continue to appear on talk radio and write columns for the Sun Media chain while hosting Byline.
