On the network front, Global original series Private Eyes returns with its Fifth and Final season and reality favourites Big Brother and Love Island return with all-new seasons.
On the specialty & streaming series front, the next 2 weeks see the premiere of 10 new series, the series finale of Mr. Inbetween and the return of Animal Kingdom, Atypical, Biohackers, Corner Gas Animated, Grown-ish, Never Have I Ever, The Snoopy Show and Virgin Rivers. New series premiering in the next two weeks include AMC’s new drama The Beast Must Die, Apple TV+’s new musical comedy Schmigadoon!, CTV Sci-Fi Channel’s new drama SurrealEstate, Disney+’s new animated comedy Monsters at Work, HBO Max’s new teen drama Gossip Girl– a sequel to the original 2007 series with the same name, Netflix’s new animated action series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness ,HBO’s new miniseries The White Lotus and Leverage: Redemption, a sequel to the 2008 TNT series Leverage. In addition, Betty, Genera+ion and Lisey’s Story conclude their current season.
Other highlights include the premiere of CNN’s New 8-part docu-series History of the Sitcom, which delves into the history of the comedy genre in television and reunites audiences with the television friends, families, and co-workers they grew up with. On the reality front, Food Network competition series Chopped and Cheese: A Love Story conclude their current season. Also, the 2021 Espy Awards air July 10.
