GMC TV and Peace Point Entertainment announce start of production of new docu-drama series The Bulloch Family Ranch

GMC TV and Peace Point Entertainment recently announced the start of production of The Bulloch Family Ranch (7×60’), a docu- drama about the astonishing world of a caring working class couple who devote themselves to raising 25 teenagers in need. The original GMC World Premiere Series, GMC’s largest original commission to date, shoots on the Bulloch family ranch in Lakeland, Florida.  The series will premiere in November 2012, exclusively on GMC.

The Bulloch Family Ranch is an uplifting reality series about good people doing good things,” said Brad Siegel, vice chairman GMC.  “It has all of the ingredients for a GMC World Premiere Series and we are pleased to add it to our schedule.”

“The Bulloch family is truly remarkable – they really are The Blind Side x 25. While delightfully entertaining, it’s their heart and authenticity that make this project special and we are delighted to be working with GMC to give this inspiring series an audience,” said Les Tomlin, President Peace Point Entertainment and Executive Producer of the series.

Executive Producers are Les Tomlin, President and CEO Peace Point Entertainment, and Danny Passman, principal of Cry Baby Media, who has been working with Peace Point’s US office to assist in the development of new shows for the US market.  International distribution of the series will be handled by Peace Point Rights.  Show runner is Todd C. Stevens (The Osbournes, Newlyweds, Nick and Venessa’s Dream Wedding).

The series follows fun loving, proud parents Rusty and Julie Bulloch and their two biological kids who welcomed 25 teenagers off the streets and into their home. As anchors of the family, Rusty and Julie provided a safe haven with structure, discipline, love, respect, direction and some good home cooking. By no means millionaires, when the Bulloch’s opened their home and hearts they made a tremendous difference in the lives of these young people. Three of the boys landed college football scholarships and one, Bilial Powell, is now a star running back in the NFL playing for the New York Jets. The series will follow Rusty, a high school football coach and farrier, and Julie, a busy entrepreneur, along with their bustling family in the day-to-day events and activities.
