Shaw Media today announced that it will be building a new internal digital sales team and transitioning broadcast sales from Postmedia Network.
“As digital increasingly becomes an important part of our clients marketing campaigns, we want to ensure that we have strong expertise in-house to work with our Sales and Marketing Ventures teams” said Errol Da-Ré, Senior Vice President of Sales, Shaw Media. “This will allow us to deliver highly integrated solutions across all platforms in a focused and strategic manner.”
The new team will be headed up by Graeme Mackrell, who has over 14 years experience with Shaw Media, most recently as Director, Marketing Ventures.
“New content consumption options are springing up all the time,” said Graeme. “No longer is digital an add-on at the end of the campaign – it has to be an important part of the upfront discussions between ourselves and our clients to ensure we create the most integrated and innovative campaigns possible.”
In the coming months, Graeme will be building the Digital team for Shaw Media. His first hire is Lyna Sapijonis, who will join the team as Manager, Digital Sales. Lyna has been with Shaw Media for over four years as part of the Marketing Ventures team. Prior to joining Shaw Media, Lyna was VP of Interactive for MAGI Communications.
