“Extending the DEADLIEST CATCH legacy into the spring schedule, DEADLIEST CATCH: BLOODLINE journeys to Hawaii, and gives us an exhilarating new look at this sometimes harrowing industry as well as insight into the complicated Harris familial bonds fans have come to love,” says Edwina Follows, General Manager, Discovery Networks, Bell Media. “Fans of DEADLIEST CATCH are sure to catch a thrill with this new series.”
In DEADLIEST CATCH: BLOODLINE, hidden in the Captain’s quarters of the F/V Cornelia Marie, the ship his father sailed for more than 20 years, Josh’s discovery of secret charts from the early ‘80s show all the islands of Hawaii, including one of the most premiere fishing spots in the world – the Kona coast. Covered in Phil Harris’ handwriting, with detailed notes on his fishing adventures and island life, the charts beckon Josh to follow his father’s dream.
In the premiere episode, “The Harris Legacy” (Tuesday, May 19 at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT), Casey and Josh enlist the help of Jeff Silva, one of the island’s top commercial fisherman to help them learn the challenging fishery and interpret Phil’s charts. This is fishing like Josh and Casey have never experienced. The pair will battle the elements – and each other – as they struggle to catch the island’s most lucrative bounty – ahi tuna.
