Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Returns to Toronto for the Players’ Championship, April 9 to 14

Elite curling action returns to Toronto next week for the Players’ Championshipthe sixth event and fourth major of the 2018-19 Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling season – taking place at Ryerson’s Mattamy Athletic Centre, April 9 to14. Sportsnet’s live coverage of the crown jewel event of the Grand Slam seasongets underway Thursday, April 11 at Noon ET / 9 a.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet NOW (full broadcast details below).

Returning to downtown Toronto for the sixth time in seven years, the Players’ Championship features the top 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams from around the world, competing for a $300,000 total purse divided between the two divisions. The impressive pool of talent includes world No. 1 Team Koe (Calgary), 10-time Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Champion, Team Homan (Ottawa), 2019 World Women’s Curling Champion Team Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI), and local fan-favourite Team Epping (Toronto).

Returning for another must-watch Grand Slam event, Sportsnet’s expert curling commentators will be at the heart of the action in Toronto.
