Elite curling action returns to Toronto next week for the Players’ Championship – the sixth event and fourth major of the 2018-19 Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling season – taking place at Ryerson’s Mattamy Athletic Centre, April 9 to14. Returning to downtown Toronto for the sixth time in seven years, the Players’ Championship features the top 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams from around the world, competing for a $300,000 total purse divided between the two divisions. The impressive pool of talent includes world No. 1 Team Koe (Calgary), 10-time Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Champion, Team Homan (Ottawa), 2019 World Women’s Curling Champion Team Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI), and local fan-favourite Team Epping (Toronto).
