Citytv’s highest-rated original series Hudson & Rex is back fur-real! Season 2 reunites the beloved cop-and-canine duo as they continue to investigative high-profile crimes and sniff-out mysteries for the St. John’s Police Department. Delivering more action and heart, Hudson & Rex premieres on a new night, Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and will air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT throughout the fall. Produced by Shaftesbury and Pope Productions Ltd., in association with Citytv and Beta Film GmbH, the new 19-episode season sees Hudson & Rex expose the mastermind behind a smuggling ring, solve a violent murder within the city’s figure skating elite, and unpack a conspiracy during the search for a missing person.
John Reardon and Diesel vom Burgimwald return as leads Detective Charlie Hudson and Rex, respectively, alongside additional cast members Mayko Nguyen (Killjoys, Cracked) as Dr. Sarah Truong, Kevin Hanchard (Orphan Black, Wynonna Earp) as Superintendent Joseph Donovan, and Justin Kelly (Wynonna Earp, Degrassi) as Jesse Mills. Season 2 also features new guest stars, including World and Olympic champion figure skater Elvis Stojko, Great Big Sea’s Alan Doyle (Murdoch Mysteries, Republic of Doyle), and Aaron Ashmore (Killjoys, Veronica Mars).
