CTV’s Prime-Time Schedule Heats Up, June 29 – July 15

The summer fun continues into July as Betty White brings some excitement to CTV with the series premiere of HOT IN CLEVELAND. MIAMI MEDICAL wraps up for the summer, while SCOUNDRELS, COMEDY NOW!, COMEDY INC., DOWNFALL, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT turn up the heat with brand-new episodes.

Programming highlights for June 29 – July 15 on CTV include:

* Players race against the clock and compete for $1 million on the new game show DOWNFALL (June 29)
* The Top 9 take to the stage live to perform on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (June 30)
* Proctor (Jeremy Northam) and Zambrano (Lana Parrilla) question how far they’ll go for their patients on the season finale of MIAMI MEDICAL (July 2)
* Kelly Taylor gives a gut-busting performance on COMEDY NOW! (July 3)
* A headless body leads to a secret world of high class escorts on LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT (July 4)
* Betty White stars in the series premiere of HOT IN CLEVELAND (July 5)
* The Top 8 performers dance their hearts out on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (July 7)
* Heather (Leven Rambin) gets a job at a strip club on SCOUNDRELS (July 11)

Tuesday, June 29

8 p.m. – CASTLE – “Den of Thieves” – NEW TO CTV
A surprise is in line for Castle (Nathan Fillion) when Beckett (Stana Katic) hits it off with the handsome Robbery detective assigned to the case, Tom Demming (guest star Michael Trucco, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA). Now this romantic triangle must work together to solve the case.

9 p.m. – DOWNFALL – NEW EPISODE
Played atop a tall building in the middle of a metropolitan landscape, the new larger-than-life game show DOWNFALL hosted by Chris Jericho, has contestants quickly answer a series of trivia questions against the clock. If they play the perfect game, they could leave with a million dollars in cash and prizes. But if not, they could just as easily see their hopes and dreams slip through their fingers and off the side of the building – literally.

Wednesday, June 30

8 p.m. – SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE – “Top 9 Perform” – NEW TWO-HOUR LIVE PERFORMANCE EPISODE
The Top 9 dancers show off their moves live on the dance floor and hope to win America’s votes.

Thursday, July 1

9 p.m. – SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE – NEW LIVE RESULTS EPISODE
The dancer with the fewest votes is eliminated from the competition.

Friday, July 2

10 p.m. – MIAMI MEDICAL – “Medicine Man” – SEASON FINALE
The aftermath of two accidents leave Proctor (Jeremy Northam) and Zambrano (Lana Parrilla) questioning just how far they’ll go for their patients, and Dr C. (Mike Vogel) begins to wonder if his brother’s (Bailey Chase, SAVING GRACE) latest re-appearance comes with strings attached.

Saturday, July 3

10 p.m. – COMEDY NOW! – “Kelly Taylor” – NEW EPISODE
Kelly Taylor gave up his mediocre career in hockey to pursue his dream of leaving the small-town environment for the rush of the big city. With the physical attributes of a high-school quarterback and the comedic commitment of Jerry Lewis, Taylor continues to take the comedy world by storm. Kelly has performed across the country at Just for Laughs and the Vancouver and Calgary Comedy Festivals. Taylor recently made his debut in New York City.

10:30 p.m. – COMEDY INC. – NEW EPISODE
This week’s episode includes sketches about WFTO-TV newsman Ken Shawn and weather girl Nikki Payne, a groom in trouble at his wedding reception, hot plus-size women, a Sunday-morning arts program, and Tom Cruise returns as a guest on THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW.

Sunday, July 4

10 p.m. – LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT – “Gods and Insects” – NEW EPISODE
When a headless body is discovered at the bottom of a storm drain, what appears to be a mob hit soon leads to a secret world of high class escorts and the gods of finance.

Monday, July 5

8 p.m. – HOT IN CLEVELAND – “Pilot” – SERIES PREMIERE
Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli), Joy (Jane Leeves) and Victoria (Wendie Malick) decide to stick around in Cleveland and rent a house with an elderly caretaker Elka Ostrovsky (Betty White).

Tuesday, July 6

8 p.m. – CASTLE – “The Third Man” – NEW TO CTV
Mysteries abound when a family returns from vacation to discover a dead man in their daughter’s bed. Thinking they’re investigating the murder of a squatter, Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) soon find themselves unraveling a multi-million dollar heist. Meanwhile, Castle tries to keep Beckett from finding out that they’ve been romantically linked when he’s featured as one of New York’s 10 Most Eligible Bachelors.

Saturday, July 10

10 p.m. – COMEDY NOW! – “Dana Alexander” – NEW EPISODE
Originally from Edmonton and now residing in Toronto, Alexander began her comedic career performing at Yuk Yuk’s and quickly became a regular fixture. She has continued to tour with them for the past eight years and can be seen in comedy clubs and colleges across Canada. Quoted as being fierce, in-your-face and almost revolutionary, Alexander continues to draw her material from her diverse lifestyle.

10:30 p.m. – COMEDY INC. – NEW EPISODE
This week’s episode includes sketches about a guy with questionable taste in radio stations, the hose-bag from Bagco, Paris Hilton book pitch, the sexual fantasies of the COMEDY INC. ladies and a visit to the sex store.

Sunday, July 11

8 p.m. – LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT – “Abel & Willing” – NEW EPISODE
Detectives Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) must discover the identity of a killer before another couple is forced to make the most difficult choice. Abel (guest star Dallas Roberts, THE L WORD), a deranged social psychologist, forces a man to choose whether to kill himself or his wife as part of a series of experiments Abel is conducting to understand and vindicate his grandfather.

9 p.m. – SCOUNDRELS – “Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire” – NEW EPISODE
A threat forces Logan (Patrick Flueger) to show his true “West” family colours and Heather (Leven Rambin) is hired in a local strip club.

10 p.m. – LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT – “Love Sick” – NEW EPISODE
A young girl from the Midwest who moved to NYC is murdered after visiting a medical centre to receive treatment for an assault. Detectives Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) must figure out who the killer is before there is another murder.

Monday, July 12

8 p.m. – HOT IN CLEVELAND – “Who’s Your Mama?” – NEW EPISODE
Joy’s (Jane Leeves) fling with a younger man dredges up a secret from her past; Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli) coaxes Elka (Betty White) to dive back into the dating pool; and Victoria’s (Wendie Malick) new shopping habits come with fringe benefits.
