ETALK Kicks Off Momentous Season 15, September 6 on CTV

As the hottest celebrities and the world’s most notable filmmakers get ready to invade Toronto for the 41st annual Toronto International Film Festival (Sept. 8-18), ETALK returns to once again offer unparalleled all-access coverage of TIFF as Canada’s most-watched entertainment news show kicks off its 15th anniversary season Tuesday, Sept. 6 on CTV and the CTV GO app.

ETALK offers a VIP and behind-the-scenes experience to all things TIFF to viewers across the nation, capturing all the must-see moments of the festival as the team – including recently announced reporter Chloe Wilde and L.A. correspondent Jesse Giddings – report from various celebrity hotspots across Toronto during the 11-day festival. In advance of the star-studded festival, ETALK ushers in its 15th anniversary season with a new commemorative special, ETALK PRESENTS: 15 YEARS, 15 MOMENTS, premiering Monday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and the CTV GO app. In the half-hour special, Canada’s #1 entertainment team, including Anchors Ben Mulroney and Danielle Graham, look back at 15 of their all-time favourite moments on ETALKover the years. Reaching 4.1 million viewers every week on CTV, ETALK is averaging 519,000 viewers this summer, 57% ahead of ET CANADA (331,000), and 34% ahead of ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT (388,000). ETALK’s most-watched episode this summer brought in an audience of 751,000 viewers on June 2. The program’s average weekly reach on CTV, CTV Two, and E! is 6.5 million viewers combined.

ETALK airs weeknights at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO, 7:30 p.m. ET on CTV Two and CTV GO, and 6:30 p.m. ET on E! (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times).

The Canadian Filmmakers’ Party and The Canada Party at TIFF 2016
ETALK gives viewers exclusive access to the 11th annual Canadian Filmmakers’ Party on Wednesday, Sept. 7, hosted by ETALK Anchor Ben Mulroney. ETALK is a co-sponsor of the party with The Spoke Club and The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television (ACCT). For the second consecutive year, ETALK is also a proud sponsor of The Canadian Film Fest and The Directors Guild of Canada’s “The Canada Party at TIFF 2016” event on Friday, Sept. 12, with an exclusive lounge inside the party and red carpet access to the stars and film industry’s elite.

ETALK AT TIFF on Fibe TV1
For the second year in a row, Fibe TV1 takes viewers backstage as ETALK hosts and producers offer a glimpse of all the action, and what it takes to cover one of the world’s biggest film festivals. This Year, ETALK will produce 10 mini documentaries that will each profile a celebrated film from TIFF’s 41-year history, which will be available as of Sept. 23 only on Fibe TV, Channel 1.

ETALK Sephora Lounge
The ETALK team will continue to host A-list celebrities from the ETALK Sephora Lounge at the InterContinental Toronto Centre Hotel, where stars can receive makeup touch-ups from Sephora’s Pro Artists, and enjoy the latest products compliments of Sephora. ETALK and Sephora have also teamed up for a series of beauty segments featuring red carpet looks from the festival with expert tips to recreate them at home.

All festival long etalk.ca is home to exclusive TIFF coverage, bringing fans right to the A-list action with daily red carpet live streams. The star-studded offerings also include extended celebrity interviews, the latest sightings, breaking festival news, fashion recaps, and more. With names like Ryan Gosling, Reese Witherspoon, Natalie Portman, Michael Fassbender, and many more expected to hit TIFF, etalk.ca is the ultimate online destination during the Festival.

ETALK on Social Media
For a fourth year in a row, ETALK partners with Twitter Canada to bring behind-the-scenes content to film fans worldwide. Located in the ETALK Sephora Lounge throughout the duration of the festival, The Twitter Mirror delivers a unique perspective on TIFF excitement that allows stars to tweet using the hashtag #etalkTIFF. ETALK hosts will give a unique perspective on the film festival through daily Facebook Live videos from red carpets to parties and more. Festival goers will also have a chance to be featured on the show by using ETALK’s custom Snapchat filters.
