/A\ Caps Off the Summer with Finales and Thrills: Programming Highlights for August 23 – August 31

/A\ concludes August with a new episode of SECRETS OF YOUR MIND – WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO?, along with the /A\ season finale of WHITE COLLAR and the series finale of RAISING THE BAR. Joining the /A\ schedule is CRIMINAL MINDS with new episodes for /A\ viewers.

Programming highlights for August 23 – 31 on /A\ include:

* Agent Kimberly Rice (Diane Neal) asks for Neal’s (Matthew Bomer) help in a kidnapping case on WHITE COLLAR (August 24)
* Martin Bashir visits death row and visits two of the country’s most notorious serial killers on SECRETS OF YOUR MIND – WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO? (August 26)
* Matthew Perry (MR. SUNSHINE) stars as real-life inspiration Ron Clark in The Ron Clark Story (August 30)
* Jerry (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) defends a massage therapist accused of touching a client inappropriately in the series finale of RAISING THE BAR (August 31)
* Neal (Matthew Bomer) and Alex (Gloria Votsis) attempt to recover a music box from the Italian Consulate in the season finale of WHITE COLLAR (August 31)

Monday, August 23

An investigative reporter dies under suspicious circumstances while investigating a story. Her college friend Laura (Thea Gill, QUEER AS FOLK) and former professor Meredith (Stephanie Zimbalist, REMINGTON STEELE) join forces and attempt to find out who killed her. As the women gradually uncover the truth, Laura and Detective Roy Moloney (Spencer Rochfort, ACAPULCO H.E.A.T.) find themselves attracted to one another.

Tuesday, August 24

8 p.m. – RAISING THE BAR – “Maybe, Baby” – NEW EPISODE

Roz (Gloria Reuben) ends up with a baby after a regrettable turn of events. Jerry (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) has difficulty with one of his clients who may or not be telling the truth about a rapist.

9 p.m. – WHITE COLLAR – “Front Man” – NEW TO /A\
Also airs at 10 p.m. AT on /A\ Atlantic and 9 p.m. MT on ACCESS
Agent Kimberly Rice (Diane Neal) asks for Neal’s (Matthew Bomer) help in a kidnapping case because of his connection to suspect Ryan Wilkes (Charles Malik Whitfield). Wilkes lures Neal right into a trap.

10 p.m. – THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE – “The Old Maid of Honor” – NEW TO /A\
Christine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) tries to convince everyone that she’s fine with Richard’s (Clark Gregg) remarriage by pretending she and her new date are in love.

Wednesday, August 25

9 p.m. – CRIMINAL MINDS – “Outfoxed” – NEW TO /A\
Also airs at 10 p.m. AT on /A\ Atlantic and 9 p.m. MT on ACCESS
While tracking a family annihilator, the BAU must seek advice from “The Fox,” (Neal Jones, RESCUE ME) one of the most horrific killers from the team’s past. He has an ominous message for Agent Hotchner (Thomas Gibson).

10 p.m. – CRIMINAL MINDS – “Identity” – NEW TO /A\
Also airs at 11 p.m. AT on /A\ Atlantic and 8 p.m. MT on ACCESS
The BAU is called to Montana to investigate the case of three kidnapped and murdered women. When another woman disappears, the search leads to a man who has apparently assumed the identity of his partner who committed suicide.

Thursday, August 26

8 p.m. – THE VAMPIRE DIARIES – “The Turning Point” – NEW TO /A\

After another attack, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) offers to help Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre, KYLE XY) track down the killer and learns a startling piece of information about the town’s founding families. Alaric (guest star Matt Davis, DAMAGES) steps in to help during an awkward scene with Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Mayor Lockwood (guest star Rob Pralgo, HIGH RISE).

10 p.m. – SECRETS OF YOUR MIND – WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO? – NEW EPISODE

Martin Bashir takes a journey inside the mind of a psychopath. Bashir examines evil’s origin in the brain, whether people are born with a tendency for evil or violent behavior, and whether that can be detected in childhood. In his reporting, Bashir visits death row for a close-up look at two of the country’s most notorious serial killers. He also speaks exclusively to the distraught father of Chris Benoit, the pro-wrestler who murdered his family then himself.

Saturday, August 28

When a patron dies of a possible case of poisoning in the restaurant, Chef Gus (David LaHaye, The Red Violin) is sent off to Thailand. There he meets Lek (Napakpapha Nakprasitte, Bitter/Sweet) who promises to make him the best Thai chef. A romantic relationship develops but it’s unclear to Gus where he stands. Heeding the words of a young boy, Gus ends up under the care of a guru Dr. Mohan Agashe. After recovering from his encounter with Lek, he heads home and falls under the spell of Rose (Leah Pinsent, REGENESSIS) who has an uncontrollable appetite.

Sunday, August 29

Erika Eleniak (BAYWATCH) plays the role of housewife Jessica Landers who is unhappy in her marriage with husband Russell (David Millbern, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus) and decides to “spice it up.” Jessica gets more than she bargained for when she contacts Marcus Declan (Michael Bergin, BAYWATCH), an old high school classmate, she once had a crush on.

Monday, August 30

8 p.m. – RAISING THE BAR – “Oh, Say Can You pee” – NEW EPISODE

Bobbi (Natalia Cigliuti) and Jerry (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) come to a crossroads in their relationship. Richard (Teddy Sears) represents a student who is charged with pouring beer on a cop. Marcus (J. August Richards) deals with a hard case about a man charged with stealing food for his kids.

Matthew Perry (FRIENDS) stars as real-life inspiration Ron Clark, a passionate and innovative teacher who leaves his small hometown to teach in one of Harlem’s toughest schools. In the series finale, Jerry (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) takes a case involving a male massage therapist. Kessler’s new boyfriend asks her for a legal favor. Roz (Gloria Reuben) is extorted by a man, who is the father of the baby she is caring for.
