Global Wins Tuesday with Glee, NCIS: LA and The Good Wife

Last night, Global’s powerhouse Tuesday night lineup was a hit with Canadians as new episodes of Glee, NCIS: LA and The Good Wife were the Top 3 most-watched shows of the night (Ind 2+, national, 8-11pm).

Returning to its regular time-slot, Glee’s Valentine’s Day episode warmed the hearts of 2 million Canadians (Ind 2+, national), winning the night nationally and in the key Toronto and Vancouver markets.

Following Glee, another gripping episode of NCIS: LA also hit its mark with audiences, as 1.9 million viewers (Ind 2+, national) tuned in as the team investigated a shipment of counterfeit computer chips. The Top 20 program also performed well in the key markets, winning the hour in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.

Showing no signs of letting up, Global won the 10pm hour with 1.5 million viewers (Ind 2+, national) watching The Good Wife. Canadian Michael J. Fox returned to the critically-acclaimed drama for a special guest appearance.

DATA HIGHLIGHTS (All data A18-49 unless otherwise indicated):

* Glee had 1.1 million viewers nationally in the key demo
* Glee garnered 156% more viewers than CTV’s No Ordinary Family and 323% more viewers than the first hour of CityTV’s The Biggest Loser
* NCIS: LA outperformed CTV’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit by 25% and the second hour of CityTV’s The Biggest Loser by 56%
* The Good Wife bested the season premiere of The Listener (CTV) by 62% and Parenthood (CityTV) by 194%
