Food Network Canada’s fall schedule launched with great success last night headlined by the channel’s highly anticipated new series Cutthroat Kitchen. The brand new, devilishly devious series cooked the competition, making it the number one specialty television series of the night across all multiple demos with in an AMA of 347,000 (2+), 211,000 (18-49) and 165,000(A25-54).
In this brand-new, unpredictable series, craftiness and cunning are the essential ingredients and there’s no telling just how far any chef will go to get ahead of the competition. Led by international television sensation Alton Brown (Food Network Star, Iron Chef America) as the series’ provocative host, Cutthroat Kitchen airs Sundays at 10pm ET/PT on Food Network Canada. Next week in a new sadistic episode of savoury sabotage, the chefs are challenged to make a winning pork chops and applesauce dish … without the use of pork chops or apples!
Three esteemed judges rotate throughout the series, weighing in on each round of the competition to determine the winner: food writer and author Simon Majumdar (Iron Chef America,The Next Iron Chef); chef and cookbook author Antonia Lofaso (Top Chef Season 4); and chef Jet Tila (Iron Chef America).
