When it comes to comedy, The Comedy Network means business and no digi-bongo-acapella-rap-funk-comedy-folk act understands business time more than FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS. On Tuesday, May 11 at 10 p.m. ET/PT Bret and Jemaine return to The Comedy Network amusing viewers with their unintentional comedic act, as they try to make it or break it in New York City….again.
Despite living as Big Apple bohemians for over a year, Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie remain hopelessly out of place in Manhattan. In the Season 2 premiere of FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS, the pair fire their hapless manager Murray and are immediately offered a lucrative opportunity to write a jingle for a female-specific toothpaste.
FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS Season 2 also features alt-com darling Kristen Schaal (THE DAILY SHOW), THE WIRE’s David Costabile and New York stand-up fave Eugene Mirman.
Jemaine and Bret began performing under the names Moustache and Vested Interest before becoming Flight of the Conchords. Flight of the Conchords received the GRAMMY® Award for Best Comedy Album for The Distant Future. Executive producers for FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS are Jemaine Clement, Bret McKenzie, James Bobin, Troy Miller and Stu Smiley.
