With the help of the latest technology, two brothers have uncovered some of the most intriguing results in supernatural research to date – including a possible recording of Civil War soldiers talking. Meet brothers Brad and Barry Klinge, Texas natives who founded Everyday Paranormal, an investigation team that has explored more than 70 locations and put a new high-tech twist on the field of paranormal research. In the new 13-part series GHOST LAB premiering Saturday, February 13 at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT on Discovery Channel, the Klinges and their team of investigators tackle what are thought to be some of America’s most haunted locations with sophisticated equipment housed in a decked-out travelling “ghost lab.”
More than seven metres long, the “ghost lab” vehicle can supply 200,000 watts of electricity to power audio, video and photo analysis stations; flat-screen televisions and an interactive touch-screen smartboard. The lab also houses surveillance video cameras capable of shooting 90 metres away in total darkness with a 180-degree peripheral view; temperature, humidity and dew point data loggers; various digital cameras, including thermal imaging cameras; audio recorders; and more than 2,500 metres of video cable. This on-site high-tech lab enables investigators to analyze data on the premises in real time, helping to focus their investigations on suspected paranormal “hot spots.” The team also consults with some of the world’s foremost specialists in science measurements to devise and test theories during their investigations. Is there more “ghost activity” around water? Are spirits attached to specific items or locations? Is there a parallel universe?
Some of the locations the Klinge brothers investigate on GHOST LAB include Tombstone, Ariz., home to some of the most violent deaths in history; Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, where Elvis got his start; and Granbury Opera House where, according to legend, John Wilkes Booth changed his name to John St. Helen and performed Shakespeare after assassinating President Lincoln.

GHOST LAB: “Disturbing the Peace”
Saturday, February 13 at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT
Paranormal investigators, Brad and Barry Klinge bring their Everyday Paranormal team to two Louisiana landmarks notorious for alleged paranormal activity. They begin by investigating the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, where legends were born and some say they never truly left. During their investigation, the team identifies a hotspot by the side of the stage where they capture a clear electronic voice phenomenon (EVP) saying “they saw the light!” They begin to consider that spirits from Shreveport’s glory days may still exist, but in a parallel dimension. In hopes of understanding the activity and ways of collecting more evidence, the Klinges consult with an astrophysicist who specializes in parallel universe theory. Then, the team then moves on to the Myrtles Plantation – known as America’s most haunted home. Myrtles’ history is far darker; steeped in slavery, disease and death. During previous investigations at Myrtles, the Ghost Lab team captured a shadowy apparition and a possible Civil War era EVP stating “Colonel, aren’t you afraid?”
GHOST LAB: “Tombstone”
Saturday, February 20 at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT
The Ghost Lab arrives in Tombstone, Arizona, the town where Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday had their famous shootout in the OK Corral back in the 1800s. And according to witnesses, spirits from the Wild West days may still be roaming the streets of this ghost town. They begin the investigation at The Birdcage Theater. Back in the day, it served as a brothel, a gambling hall and a saloon, and though patrons are far more respectable these days, the manager claims a spirit named “Jake” may be haunting the building. After feeling that they’ve established a haunting, the brothers set out to find out why the activity is happening in Tombstone. A tour of the inactive silver mines that snake beneath the town reveals that the mines are still filled with silver. Since the Klinges believe that spirits manifest as energy, the brothers develop a theory that the silver combined with lightning storms common to Arizona may supercharge the town with energy, thereby increasing the chances of paranormal activity.
GHOST LAB: “Smell of Fear”
Saturday, February 27 at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT
The Ghost Lab team investigates a pair of alleged paranormal hotspots to study the relationship between fear and paranormal activity. Their first stop is the Liar’s Club; a good-time dive bar in Chicago. Patrons and employees have reported apparitions, touching and feelings of being watched. As the team learns, there have been three murders in the building… that have all been in the same room… and all in the same corner! Could the haunting be related to these murders? Or – more disturbing still – could a paranormal entity be causing Liar’s Club patrons to kill? The Klinge brothers speak with Parapsychologist Dr. Pamela Heath about imprinting, wherein traumatic memories can attach to a building, and resonance where an individual can internalize these dark memories to possibly tragic results. Also, the team investigates the Mortuary in New Orleans, a former funeral home that now hosts a terrifying haunted house attraction.
Witnesses have reported experiences with a girl named Sarah who may have died in the building after Katrina. It’s the perfect location to study the relationship between fear and paranormal activity.
