In his decade-long project Beneath the Roses, he uses light, colour and character to conjure arresting images and managing a crew of 60 assistants amidst seemingly countless logistical and creative obstacles.

BOREDOM looks at the worldwide epidemic of boredom despite our action-packed high tech times. The film exposes new research that reveals that boredom is actually a stress condition and chronic boredom can lead to high risk behaviours such as drug taking, driving too fast and crazy sex. The film takes on school, work and life, and asks “is this all there is?” BOREDOM inspired the first ever Boring Awards held in Toronto in May.
