Hollywood Suite encourages consumers to reclaim their “Movie Rights”

Hollywood Suite, Canada’s newest HD TV movie channels, has launched a multi-platform campaign to educate consumers about their “movie rights”. Starting today on TV, radio, digital, outdoor and print throughout Ontario, the irreverent campaign urges movie lovers to unite and exercise their right to commercial-free, uncut movies for just a few bucks a month (the package retails for $6 or less).

Hollywood Suite’s 4 exclusive HD TV movie channels – WarnerFilms, MGM Channel, Sony Movie Channel and AXN Movies – run classic films from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s, and are available on cable, satellite and IPTV systems across Canada. This campaign coincides with the end of a free preview on Rogers and Cogeco cable systems.

Hollywood Suite worked with ad agency Wunderkind and Creative Director Syd Kessler to create manifesto-themed messaging and faux-celebrity spokespeople that encourages consumers to reclaim their “movie rights” by calling their television service provider and subscribing to the package of channels.

“Hollywood Suite wants to showcase the tremendous value we offer consumers,” remarks David Kines, President of Hollywood Suite. “We want to ensure potential customers know we offer 4 channels showing their favourite movies, without commercial interruption, all for a low monthly price.”

“We’re huge believers in the quality and beauty of what Hollywood Suite offers movie lovers,” says Wahn Yoon, President & Chief Strategy Officer of Wunderkind. “Many of our personal favourite movies of all time are on the channels and we love the fact that we’re playing up the value proposition of iconic movies and stars in their original uncut and uninterrupted form in brilliant HD, in a way that shows Canadians the cheeky and fun-loving personality of Hollywood Suite. We think consumers are going to enjoy this campaign.”

Art direction for the campaign by Ilya Strashun of Wunderkind. Media buying by Marilyn Sherman at twenty6two.
