TMN and MC’s February Programming Highlights

Movie Central helps fight the winter blues with a great line up of films and new episodes in February. On February 28, Movie Central premieres Atom Egoyan’s Adoration, made with support from the Corus Made with Pay Fund. Also premiering this month action-star Vin Diesel returns to his career-making role in Fast & Furious on February 5 and the story of the “demi-gods of Canadian metal” is told in the award-winning documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil on February 7.

NEW EPISODES

Every Monday night in February, new episodes of Showtime’s Secret Diary of a Call Girl and Tracey Ullman’s State of the Union will continue to air with Showtime’s new reality comedy series La La Land and Starz action series Spartacus: Blood and Sand.

Secret Diary of a Call Girl (Episode 1)

Secret Diary of a Call Girl season 3 will now premiere on Monday, February 1, not Monday, January 25 as previously announced. Season 3 starts with the high-class call girl having turned her personal sex-capades into a best-selling book and seems to be on top of the world. But, when tasked with writing a revealing follow-up, Belle finds that uncovering new material may mean putting herself into some wildly unexpected positions.

Movie Central: Monday, February 1 at 9 p.m. PT
The Movie Network: Monday, February 1 at 10 p.m. ET

Spartacus: Blood and Sand (Episode 2)

Enslaved in gladiatorial school, the newly christened Spartacus must try to suppress his desire for vengeance when his new master promises to reunite him with his wife. If he can get Spartacus to perfect the brutal skill he showed in his first fight in the arena and complete the training to become a real gladiator, Batiatus might forge himself a new money earner. All episodes are available in high definition and on demand following their premiere.

Movie Central: Monday, February 1 at 8 p.m. PT
The Movie Network: Monday, February 1 at 9 p.m. ET

La La Land (Episode 2)

Shirley, Brendan and Gary (all portrayed by series star in disguise Marc Wooton) continue their assault on Los Angeles and strive to get noticed by those in the know. Gary takes advice from his mentor, Ruta Lee, on the most effective way to present himself at an industry function. Over in Burbank, Shirley has allied herself with a private investigator, Allen Horner, in the hope it will bring her media exposure when she uses her psychic powers to solve an adultery case. In his seedy motel room, Brendan pitches an up and coming producer his latest idea – to make an observational documentary about a climbing accident – which he plans on making happen. All episodes are available on demand following their premiere.
