This October, HBO Canada, a multiplex channel of Corus Entertainment’s Movie Central (Western Canada) andAstral’s The Movie Network (Eastern Canada) presents the premiere of CINEMAX’s newest drama, Hunted. From Frank Spotnitz and starring Golden Globe®-nominee Melissa George, Hunted premieres Friday, October 19 at 11 p.m. ET/MT following Real Time with Bill Maher. Joining Hunted on HBO Canada’s October schedule is the original stage special Barrymore starring Christopher Plummer, the HBO documentary Ethel about Ethel Kennedy, the wife of Robert F. Kennedy, and the HBO original film The Girl starring Sienna Miller.
Hunted is an eight-episode drama set in the world of international espionage. Melissa George stars as Sam Hunter, an operative for Byzantium, an elite private intelligence firm involved in global espionage. After surviving an attempt on her life that may have been orchestrated by members of her own team, she returns to work, but doesn’t know who to trust. The series follows two primary story lines: Sam’s journey to discover who is behind the attempt on her life; and Byzantium’s mission itself, both of which have larger implications. As the story unfolds, it becomes hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys. Uncertain of its clients’ motives, the Byzantium team often finds itself working in a gray area, forcing Sam to operate in complete secrecy for her own safety.
Created by Frank Spotnitz (writer and producer of The X Files), Hunted also stars Adam Rayner, Stephen Dillane, Stephen Campbell Moore, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Morven Christie, Lex Shrapnel, Indira Varma, Dhaffer L’Abidine and Patrick Malahide. Hunted is produced by Kudos Film & Television, in association with Big Light Productions for CINEMAX and BBC One.

Celebrating the remarkable life of Ethel Kennedy, the wife of Robert F. Kennedy, this documentary is highlighted by revealing, little-known anecdotes from those who know her best: her family. The personal portrait, featuring candid interviews with Ethel – her first extended interview in more than two decades – and her children Kathleen, Joe, Bobby, Courtney, Kerry, Chris and Max, spans her political awakening, the life she shared with Robert Kennedy and the years following his death, when she raised their 11 children. Ethel is the first film made about the Kennedys from within the family. Given the Kennedys’ place at the forefront of many of the pivotal events of the modern era, the documentary’s sweep is vast, ranging from the McCarthy hearings and the Civil Rights movement, to Vietnam and the anti-war movement, to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert Kennedy, and beyond.
