Super Channel acquires second season of six-part limited series, The Pact from Lionsgate Television – premieres Nov 22

Super Channel is pleased to announce that it has acquired a second season of the six-part limited series, The Pact, from Lionsgate Television. The hit BBC thriller will return for a second season with an all-new story and cast on Tuesday, November 22 at 9 p.m. ET on Super Channel Fuse, with each episode available on Super Channel on Demand the day following its linear premiere. Super Channel is available via most cable providers across Canada as well as Amazon Prime Video channels and Apple TV+.

Written and created by Pete McTighe (The Rising, Doctor Who, A Discovery Of Witches), the second series tells the story of a social worker and her family whose loyalties are tested when they’re confronted by a stranger. With gripping twists and turns, the suspenseful and emotional story will once again keep viewers guessing right up until the very end.

Cardiff-born, BAFTA-winning actor Rakie Ayola, who played DS Holland in The Pact season one, returns, this time in the lead role as social worker Christine Anthony. She also serves as executive producer on the series, which was again filmed in and around Wales.

Christine’s family, oldest son Will (Lloyd Everitt, Casualty, The Deceived), youngest son Jamie (Aaron Anthony, Behind her Eyes) and daughter Megan (Mali Ann Rees, Tourist Trap, Hidden), are trying to get on with their lives after the recent tragic death of their brother Liam. As they look forward to Megan’s wedding, the family have their lives turned upside down when a stranger, Connor (Jordan Wilks, Freshers), arrives in town claiming a connection that nobody could have imagined. As buried secrets come to light, they must consider who they are and grapple with morality and divided loyalty. As their lives spiral out of control, a terrible pact may be all that can save them.

The series also stars Elizabeth Berrington (The Nevers), Lisa Palfrey (Chloe, Line of Duty), Christian Patterson (Mr Selfridge, In My Skin), Matthew Gravelle (Broadchurch, Keeping Faith), and Jacob Ifan (Bang, A Discovery of Witches).

Produced by Cardiff-based Little Door Productions, The Pact is written and created by Pete McTighe (The Rising, Doctor Who, A Discovery Of Witches), with further episodes written by Joy Wilkinson (Doctor Who), with Connor Allen (Children’s Laureate Wales 2021- 2023) acting as story consultant. Elwen Rowlands and Hayley Manning executive produce for Little Door Productions and Ben Irving and Helen Perry serve as executive producers for BBC. The series is produced by Adam Knopf (War of the Worlds) and directed by Nicole Volavka (The Bay) and Christiana Ebohon-Green (Vera). Lionsgate distributes the series.
