Faith-based show Context with Lorna Dueck spoke to Rita Chretien, the Canadian woman who went missing with her husband Albert back in March and spent seven long weeks alone in the wilderness of Nevada, surviving largely on melted snow and her faith in God. Rita tells the story of her ordeal for the first time on Context with Lorna Dueck this Sunday, October 9.
“What stood out in this story is the tenacity that a rather timid woman, Rita Chretien, was able to muster up because of spiritual discipline. Isolated for 49 days, she dug into her Christian truths and found they work. God rescues people, God comforts in loss, she faced both sides of that. She likely won’t give another interview, she wanted to do it only once, and then get on with living, she’s an enormously grateful woman. Her gratefulness that God gives strength in trauma is a good reminder for us all this Thanksgiving weekend,” says Lorna.
Context with Lorna Dueck airs on VisionTV
