W Network Launches New Website Focused on a Second Screen Experience

Today Corus Entertainment’s W Network announces the launch of the newly enhanced WNetwork.com. The new site offers fans of W Network an expanded second screen experience to accompany their favourite W movies and shows including Love It or List ItProperty Brothers and Come Dine with Me Canada. The new site gives audiences fresh daily content related to their W favourites, including videos, photo galleries, resource guides and Shop the Show, a dedicated section which gives audiences the ability to purchase products featured in and inspired by W programming.

“The new WNetwork.com is a perfect companion to our network, giving audiences the ability to watch their favourite show while checking out articles about hosts and stars, behind-the-scenes videos, recipes inspired by episodes, or even shopping for products featured on W.” said Christina Litz, Vice President, Digital Content and Engagement, Corus Entertainment. “The new site offers fans more engagement and the ability to connect with the network and other fans, all from the ease of their tablet on their laps.”

Developed to compliment the on-air experience of W Network the re-launched online home to the network is a fully responsive site, optimized for desktop, mobile and tablet. The site features video content including the Property Brothers Bro Cam, behind the scene videos from Undercover Boss Canada and Jillian’s Faves from Love it or List it Vancouver, as well as daily refreshed editorial inspired by W programming.

Throughout the year, the site will feature special monthly themes including weddings in June, holiday gifts in November and home renovations in March. WNetwork.com will also feature enhanced show pages and schedules with all of the network fans’ need-to-know information.

Focusing on Women 25-54, advertisers will connect with target audiences with site sponsorship options and Home Page takeovers. On desktop, advertisers will be able to offer customized advertising campaigns via Super Leaderboard, Double Big Boxes and Standard Ad Units. The site also features applicable standard ad units across tablet and mobile including Leaderboard, Big Boxes.

With the new site, W Network also launches three new content-rich weekly newsletters, including Dinner and a Movie which features must-cook recipes inspired by the Saturday night W featured movie.
