W Network’s June Highlights

This June, W Network gives viewers a glimpse into a world where men must learn to juggle domestic duties and work demands without women with Season 1 of the hit Canadian series The Week the Women Went. Also, W is airing star-studded movies all month long, including the premiere of Dan in Real Life starring Steve Carell and Dane Cook.

THE WEEK THE WOMEN WENT – SERIES PREMIERE

Season 1 of the popular Gemini-nominated reality series The Week the Women Went comes to W Network this June. When the women of Hardisty, Alberta (population 760) leave town for a week on a well-deserved vacation, the men are left to fend for themselves while cameras capture every minute. Each of the eight one-hour episodes follow the men as they are forced to cook, clean and take care of the children, all while holding down their regular jobs. The series documents how the men and children of the town cope while the women are away, including their sometimes unconventional ways of dealing with day-to-day tasks, like bath time, which consists of gathering all of the kids in town onto a trampoline, and spraying them down with water and dish soap. Relationships are tested, roles are challenged and bonds are formed when The Week the Women Went airs with back-to-back episodes every Friday at 8 p.m. beginning Friday, June 4.
