Hollywood Suite announced today the two latest additions to its growing collection of series: The six-part BBC One comedy series Staged premiering April 1 at 9pm ET, and the digitally remastered 1977 Franco Zeffirelli miniseries Jesus of Nazareth premiering April 2 at 9pm ET. Both series will also be available on demand.

STAGED (Season 1)
Actors Michael Sheen (The Queen) and David Tennant (Doctor Who) play fictionalized versions of themselves, trying to rehearse a performance during lockdown via videoconference, while the underconfident director, Simon, struggles to keep control of the production. This six-part, half-hour series was filmed entirely during the COVID-19 pandemic and features guest appearances by Judi Dench, Samuel L. Jackson, and Adrian Lester.
Two episodes premiere each night April 1–3 beginning at 9pm ET on HS00. The full series will be available on demand from April 1.

JESUS OF NAZARETH
This newly digitally remastered 1977 British-Italian limited television series, not seen on Canadian TV since the 1990s, dramatizes the birth, life, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. Directed and co-written by Franco Zeffirelli (the 1968 adaptation of Romeo and Juliet), the film boasts an all-star cast featuring Anne Bancroft, Christopher Plummer, Ernest Borgnine, Laurence Olivier, Anthony Quinn, James Earl Jones, Rod Steiger, Ian McShane and Peter Ustinov.
Episode one premieres on April 2 at 9pm ET on HS70, with a new episode each night, concluding with episode four on Easter Monday. The full series will be available on demand from April 1.
