After six seasons of highs and lows, Jackie Peyton (Edie Falco) is battered and broken, but betting on a bright future. Movie Central scrubs up one last time for the seventh and final season of the Emmy-winning dark comedy from SHOWTIME,NURSE JACKIE. Premiering Monday, April 13 at 9 p.m. MT, the 12-episode final season picks up at the exact moment that Season 6 left off: after being arrested, Jackie, an ER nurse, steps into a world of unrelenting consequences.
In the seventh season of NURSE JACKIE, Jackie’s nursing licence is revoked after she’s arrested and abandoned by those closest to her. Under the Diversion Program, Jackie returns to All Saints in a new role and fights to reclaim her sobriety, her job, her people, her children, and her identity.
Mark Feuerstein (ROYAL PAINS) joins the cast as a recurring guest star for Season 7, playing Barry Wolfe, a high-powered attorney who represents Jackie as she pieces her life back together. Emmy-winner Tony Shaloub (MONK) also guest stars in the new season as Dr. Bernard Prince, a new ER doctor with a great bedside manner who offers Jackie something she desperately needs: a friend.
NURSE JACKIE also stars Merritt Wever (NEW GIRL) in her Emmy-winning role as Zoey Barkow, Jackie’s protégé, Paul Schulze (LAW & ORDER), Dominic Fumusa (LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT), Anna Deavere Smith (THE WEST WING), Stephen Wallem (Man of La Mancha), Betty Gilpin (LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT), Ruby Jerins (AS THE WORLD TURNS), Mackenzie Aladjem (PARENTHOOD), and Peter Facinelli (GLEE). Clyde Phillips (DEXTER) serves as showrunner and executive producer. Tom Straw (THE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON), Richie Jackson (Vito), Liz Flahive (Brother’s Keeper), and Caryn Mandabach (THAT ‘70s SHOW) also executive produce.
