MTV runs the gamut and takes its viewers on an incredible journey this fall, from inspirational real life stories to escapist hilarity. From new series premieres, returning favourites, and highly-anticipated season finales, MTV has programming that inspires, entertains, and gets young people talking.
Inspiring real life series, representing youth from all walks of life, include the new docu-series WORLD OF JENKS (September 13) where documentary filmmaker Andrew Jenks shadows the lives of complete strangers. The Canadian boys from THE BURIED LIFE (September 27) continue to make dreams come true as they return for Season 2 asking viewers what they want to do before they die? A surprisingly inspirational season, REAL WORLD: NEW ORLEANS comes to a close (October 6) after the cast witness and contribute to the rebirth of the city. Maci, Farrah, Catelynn and Amber close out another season of TEEN MOM (October 12), while a new crop of teens explore the beginnings of parenthood in a new season of 16 AND PREGNANT (October 13).
MTV continues to get people talking as a new season of the wildly popular 1 GIRL 5 GAYS (September 3), returns with a new batch of feisty men to dish the dirt on all things love, sex, and relationships. The hijinx and hilarity continue every Monday to Thursday on MTV LIVE, followed by MTV NEWS delivering all the entertainment highlights of the day. MTV NEWS’ Sharlene Chiu takes viewers on a tour of unexpected musical gems in various cities in the new series MTV NEWS: SHARLENE VS. (September 6).
Rounding out the schedule with a chance to escape, the season finale of the series that inspired first pumps and excessive tanning, and brought you “The Shirt Before The Shirt”, JERSEY SHORE (October 21).

1 GIRL 5 GAYS brings together MTV host Aliya-Jasmine Sovani with a panel of five gay men for the most outlandish, funny, no holds barred discussions of sex and relationships. This alternating panel of men tell it like it is, with brutal honesty, on the most outrageous and taboo subjects in romantic conflicts. Discussions include everything from masturbation, Madonna, matrimony, embarrassing erections, and favourite underwear. 1 GIRL 5 GAYS was recently picked up in the U.S. by Logo, the network for gays, lesbians and their families and friends owned by MTV Networks.
16 & PREGNANT
Season 3 Premiere – Wednesday October 13 at 10 p.m.
Take an intimate look inside the lives of pregnant teenagers as they face the challenges that come with being a young parent and dealing with relationships, finance, school and other new responsibilities. MTV follows the lives of 10 teenage girls as they navigate the unfamiliar territory and uncertainty of being pregnant. The series continues after delivery capturing how the new parents cope with taking care of their infants, in addition to balancing adult responsibilities with teenage life.

Living in a gorgeous Southern style home, the roommates immerse themselves in New Orleans culture, having the opportunity to volunteer on Mardi Gras floats, work for a local radio station, and give back at a local soup kitchen which welcomes displaced people affected by Hurricane Katrina.

This season Jenks goes into the ‘hood with rapper Maino, lives on the street with a homeless teen, spends time in the slammer, and tells the story of a pro-cheerleader and a young adult with Autism.
