Vancouver 2010 just got a humungo dose of MuchMusic mania. MuchMusic announced today that the channel has expanded its Whistler programming to nine hours daily and expanded MOD LIVE @ THE BASE’s afternoon edition from one to two hours. MuchMusic delivers viewers four hours of live television plus five hours of live segments every day, starting Friday, Feb. 12 to 28 from 2 – 11 p.m. PT. That means twice the alpine action, triple the hot tub hijinx and nine times the fan access from its Whistler HQ at the Garibaldi Lift Co. Bar & Grill during the Games. Driven by VJs Tim Deegan, Jesse Giddings, Sarah Taylor, and Liz Trinnear, fans from across the country can join the broadcasts via webcam, phone, email, twitter, and text. Parts of MuchMusic’s coverage can also be seen throughout Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium’s Winter Games coverage in HD.
