It’s Out Of This World. LIVE AT ETALK: THE BIG BANG THEORY is the Most-Watched Episode of ETALK. Ever.

Bazinga! LIVE AT ETALK: THE BIG BANG THEORY was watched in whole or in part by an astronomical 1.9 million viewers last Friday at 7 p.m. on CTV. Peaking at 1.14 million viewers, the episode was watched on average by 828,000 viewers, making it the most-watched episode in ETALK’s history.*

Immediately following the epic ETALK episode, 1.4 million people tuned into THE BIG BANG THEORY in strip at 7:30 p.m. ET, which in turn was the most-watched Friday night airing of the series ever. The episode was the most-watched program of the night overall Friday among A25-54, A18-49 and A18-34. The explosive BIG BANG fandemonium continued all weekend long with more than three million viewers watching some part of LIVE AT ETALK: THE BIG BANG THEORY encore broadcasts on CTV and Star!

“Canadians across the country responded in droves to the magic created by the show’s cast, Barenaked Ladies, our live audience, and of course our anchors Ben and TK,” said Morley Nirenberg, Director of Production/Executive Producer. “By focusing on audience engagement and giving them unparalleled access to the stars of their favourite show, we created the biggest bang of them all.”

More than 1,300 screaming, die-hard BIG BANG fans joined Ben Mulroney and Tanya Kim for an unforgettable interview with cast members Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar. Packed into the parking lot of CTV’s Queen St. HQ for the taping of LIVE AT ETALK: THE BIG BANG THEORY, the audience was treated to a sneak peek of Thursday’s episode of BIG BANG, which premiered later that night, and performances by Barenaked Ladies. The episode is available now on demand on the CTV Video Player at CTV.ca.

Later at 10 p.m., 1.74 million viewers watched CTV’s new Friday night hit series BLUE BLOODS, up 10% over last week and winning its timeslot in all key demos.

Hosted by Ben Mulroney and Tanya Kim, ETALK is the most-watched Canadian entertainment newsmagazine. From the Oscars®, the Golden Globes®, and the Emmys®, to the JUNO Awards and The Giller Prize, ETALK is front-and-centre delivering up-to-the minute news in film, television, music and more.
