World-Class Choreographers and a Hot Tamale Take Over SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA in First Performance Episode, August 23 on CTV

With only three days to go until the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Season 3 Top 20 are revealed on Sunday, August 22 at 9 p.m. ET on CTV, ETALK announced exclusively tonight the choreographers and judging panel for the first performance show, coming up Monday, August 23 at 9 p.m. ET (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times). Returning to the judge’s desk is guest judge Mary Murphy, while Tony Award-winner Bill T. Jones, the director and choreographer of the the smash Broadway play FELA!, joins the show for the first group number of the season on Tuesday’s results episode. Encore episodes of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA air back-to-back for the first time beginning Saturday, August 21 at 2 p.m. ET on MuchMusic (visit MuchMusic.com to confirm local broadcast times).

Jean Marc Genereux, Tré Armstrong, Luther Brown and Blake McGrath are joined at the judge’s desk by guest judge Mary Murphy, while choreographers for the Top 20 performance show include SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Season 1 winner Nico Archambault with his choreography partner Wynn Holmes, and Season 1 Top 10 finalist Danny Arbour. Additional choreographers are Sean Cheesman, Sho-Tyme, jaeblaze, Tony Meredith and Melanie LaPatin, Longinus Fernandes, Pierre Allaire, Melissa Williams and Mandy Moore, who is joining the show for the first time.

Also new to the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA stage is Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Bill T. Jones, who will create the Top 20 group number which kicks off the results show on Tuesday, August 24 at 8:30 p.m. ET. The creative force behind the hit Broadway musicals FELA! (2010) and Spring Awakening (2006), Jones has created over 140 works to date for the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company.
