Beginning this Wednesday, August 28, Global Calgary’s top-rated Morning News will broadcast LIVE in the heart of all the action near the Canyon Meadows’ 9th Green. AnchorsSusanne Fox and Scott Fee will be joined by Weather Specialist Carla Bosacki and Traffic Reporter Leslie Horton, as well as some of the biggest names in golf as the players prepare to tee off. Coverage will continue into Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1 whenWeekend Morning News Anchors Bindu Suri and Reid Fiest take over the anchor chairs as the play intensifies.
On Thursday, August 27, Global Calgary Anchor Gord Gillies will file regular reports forNews Hour while on-location among the thousands of spectators at Shaw Millennium Park, providing live updates as the Shaw Charity Classic Concert officially kicks off the tournament with performances from The Trews and Great Big Sea. Beginning today, Shaw TV Calgary will feature in-depth coverage and interviews as the city gets ready to host its first Champions Tour event, and will be on-location throughout the week at both the Packers Plus Pro-Am at Silvertip Golf Course in Canmore and into the Shaw Charity Classic itself at Canyon Meadows. Hosts Erin Strate and Phoenix will conduct interviews with event organizers, community leaders as well as some of the biggest golfers taking part in the tournament. Shaw TV Calgary will also take an intimate look at the charities being supported through this year’s Shaw Charity Classic, and focus on the good work these organizations are doing in the community.
