TSN Canadiens Returns with 18 Regular Season Games

TSN Canadiens returns with exclusive English-language regional coverage of the Montreal Canadiens. In total, TSN Canadiens delivers a package of 18 Canadiens match-ups from the 2013 NHL regular season to fans living in the team’s broadcast region. Coverage begins with Montreal @ Washington on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. ET.

TSN Canadiens’ regional games complement the nine Montreal match-ups that were previously announced as part of TSN’s national NHL broadcast package. Canadiens coverage on TSN also includes exclusive English language coverage of Bell and RDS’ highly- anticipated docu-reality series 24CH.

Broadcast Team

Calling the action on TSN Canadiens is play-by-play commentator Dave Randorf, who will be joined by game analysts Mike Johnson, Dave Reid and Bobby Dollas throughout the season.

Montreal bureau reporter John Lu will be following the team all season long to deliver news on the team on SPORTSCENTRE and across the TSN’s slate of programs and platforms.

TSN Canadiens Broadcast Region

The broadcast region for TSN Canadiens encompasses Quebec and Atlantic Canada, plus parts of Eastern Ontario, including Ottawa, Belleville, Kingston, and Pembroke.  TSN Canadiens is available on the following television service providers:

Habs fans looking for an even bigger fix of their favourite team need to look no further than the brand-new docu-reality series 24CH, featuring unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to the Montreal Canadiens.  Commissioned by Bell and produced by RDS, 24CH transports fans inside the storied NHL team both at home and on the road, as the Canadiens organization opens up its locker room to the public for the first time in franchise history.

Multi-platform assets complementing the television series include exclusive clips available via the Montreal Canadiens app for iPhone and Android-powered smartphones, and weekly videos posted on Canadiens.com.

24CH premieres later this month in French on RDS and in English on TSN2.

TSN Radio 690 Montreal

As the official radio voice of the Habs, TSN Radio 690 Montreal has exclusive coverage of every Canadiens games. TSN Radio 690 obtained rights in a long-term landmark deal with the Montreal Canadiens last year. The station’s play-by-play coverage will be further enhanced this season with its new frequency (690 AM) improving the overall reception of the station.

Calling all games for the station is play-by-play commentator John Bartlett and analyst and former Montreal Canadien Sergio Momesso.

Comprehensive pre-game coverage on TSN Radio 690 is hosted on weekdays by Mitch Melnick and on weekends by Ted Bird, while post-game coverage is helmed by Conor McKenna and Tony Marinaro and has live reaction from the Habs locker room, commentary from the coaches, in-depth analysis, and emails and tweets from fans.
