MuchMore Kicks Off January with Bigger and Better MuchMoreSundays

It’s out with the old and in with the new in 2011 on MuchMore. Beginning Jan. 9, MuchMoreSundays gets bigger and better with four new series premieres. Kicking off MuchMoreSundays at 5 p.m. ET is ROCK ‘N’ ROLL FANTASY CAMP where ordinary people fulfill their dreams alongside camp counsellors Ace Frehly, Bret Michaels, and more. Then, at 6 p.m. ET, Fantasia Barrino is FANTASIA FOR REAL in this behind-the-scenes look into the complicated life of the former AMERICAN IDOL. At 6:30 p.m. ET exclusive new series FAMOUS CRIME SCENE analyzes high-profile celebrity deaths like Tupac Shakur and Michael Jackson.

Closing out the new MuchMoreSundays lineup is RUNNING RUSSELL SIMMONS at 9 p.m. ET. The series profiles one of the biggest names in hip-hop, mogul Russell Simmons, as he and his team of savvy ladies run his empire. A full rundown of the new MuchMoreSundays lineup is below.

Also new to MuchMore in January is DANCE YOUR ASS OFF, premiering Saturday, Jan. 15 at 9 p.m. ET. In the new reality dance competition, full figured contestants pair up with pro dancers and get their groove on in front of a live studio audience. Each week, contestants are scored by a panel of judges on both their dancing prowess and the amount of pounds they have shed. The lowest scoring contestant is eliminated, until the ultimate dancer is declared the winner.

ROCK ‘N’ ROLL FANTASY CAMP – ** Series Premiere **

Sometimes fulfilling the ultimate dream of becoming a rockstar is a lot tougher than it looks. ROCK ‘N’ ROLL FANTASY CAMP follows 15 aspiring musicians who break out of their 9 to 5 jobs for the chance on the big stage. These average Joes go through an intense transformation process learning that what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger in the world of rock n’ roll. Over the course of four weeks, the show follows campers as they form bands, rehearse, get schooled by legends, and perform before a live audience in an iconic rock venue. The first season features rock legend camp counsellors such as: Ace Frehley, Michael Anthony, Lita Ford, Lemmy Kilmister, Matt Sorum, Eddie Kramer, and Bret Michaels.

FANTASIA FOR REAL – **Season 1**

Following the career of former AMERICAN IDOL winner Fantasia Barrino, this docu-series FANTASIA FOR REAL gives an up close and personal look into the complicated life of this recording artist and single mother. As the sole breadwinner, Fantasia takes care of her large family, but slowly realizes she needs to take care of herself as well. From her humble beginnings as a church choir singer in North Carolina to national superstardom, Fantasia now deals with the price of fame, balancing her career, a family, and an upcoming third album and tour.

Tupac Shakur. Michael Jackson. Anna Nicole Smith. Some of the most shocking deaths in pop culture history have left everyone wondering the real story behind the gripping news headlines. Each week, docu-series FAMOUS CRIME SCENE follows the sensational stories of some of the most controversial celebrity deaths in history. From the initial 911 call to the investigators’ final determination, no element is left unexplored. With expert interviews, true-to-life reenactments and advanced computer graphics, viewers witness full recreations of these historic deaths. But it’s not all work and no play for Simmons’ associates, who get to experience the perks of living the good life in Hollywood.
